Presidents’ Day

Discover the lives behind the legends of the American presidency. Join us for live music, family crafts, and storytelling for kids. Special events include a performance by Chicago Brass Band and Meeting the Lincolns by With Lincoln Productions.

This year’s programming features orations by the winners of our Inspired by Lincoln speechwriting competition for students in grades 5 through 12.

Museum admission is FREE for Illinois residents on Commemorative Days! All commemorative days include special family-friendly activities and performances are designed to honor and celebrate significant moments and figures in history.
