While French history and heritage of eastern Canada and Louisiana is typically well known by the general public, Francophone history of the Midwest is not as universally appreciated.

The conference, which will be introduced by H.E. Laurent Bili, Ambassador of France to the US, will showcase the potential of Francophone heritage in terms of education and economic development.

A panel including high-profile stakeholders of the institutional, educational, and economic fields will discuss how the diverse Francophone roots of Midwestern society can represent an invaluable asset for business, education, and the overall attractiveness of the region.

This event is organized as part of the 2024 Month of Francophonie.
