US at 250: Civic Action in Chicago includes local artist responses to four founding documents: the Declaration of Independence, Northwest Ordinance, US Constitution, and the Thirteenth Amendment.
Opening July 21! The People, We Are: Democracy, Justice, a More Perfect Union is a mural installation from Barrett Keithley that visually and emotionally explores the impact of the US Constitution, a document that laid the foundation for American democracy, while also reflecting the evolving struggle for equality and justice. Keithley’s work emphasizes that democracy is an ongoing, collective effort.
