Film Synopsis

A vivid portrait of Christian Holder, the iconic Joffrey Ballet star and multitalented choreographer, actor, singer, and costume designer. Narrated by Christian himself as he acts, sings and speaks the story of his remarkable life in filmed cabaret performances across New York and London. Revealing interviews and rare archival footage of his most celebrated ballets also place Christian at the center of important social and political issues such as racism, the AIDS crisis, and antiwar protests. Tragically, Christian Holder’s life was cut short on February 18, 2025, yet his extraordinary story lives on in Christian Holder: My Life Is Dance.
