Chamber Music Immersive

Help us become a space where music meets history! Our Chamber Music Immersive series features top-quality orchestral pieces, selected based on their connections to Chicago’s past. With your support, we’re bringing world-class musicians to the Chicago History Museum.
Past Performances
Our first concert of the series featured musical pieces by Astor Piazzolla, William Grant Still, and Clarice Assad. Based on our exhibition Dressed in History: A Costume Collection Retrospective, each piece was chosen for its connection to fashion history. The evening included dancers from the Joffrey Ballet modeling vintage looks from Freeman’s | Hindman Auctions.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Join us for an evening celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month featuring the music of iconic composers Astor Piazzolla and Carlos Gardel. Inspired by our newest exhibition, Aquí en Chicago, this exciting program features a performance by the Magellan Chamber Orchestra led by its founder, Grammy Award–nominated violinist Philippe Quint.
