WTTW Chicago Stories Screenings
Enjoy an episode of WTTW Chicago Stories in our theater as part of your visit!
In March, we’ll be screening “Ida B. Wells: A Chicago Stories Special.”

Born enslaved in Mississippi during the Civil War, Ida Bell Wells (1862–1931) spent her career as a journalist protesting and investigating lynchings, which ultimately brought her to Chicago for her own safety. It was here that she would take her activism to a global stage, speaking to audiences abroad about the horrors of the Black experience in the United States. At home, she continued her work as a reporter and lobbied for women’s rights issues, especially for women of color.
Running time: 59 minutes
