Research Inquiries

We realize that not all researchers are able to visit the Abakanowicz Research Center in person. We provide many resources online in the research section of our website. If you require a detailed or time-critical response not found online, we may suggest that you hire a freelance researcher (PDF). If you require a response not available online, please use our contact form to send us your inquiry.

ARCHIE has a new look!

CHM’s Abakanowicz Research Center is proud to announce the unveiling of a new catalog interface (Enterprise from SirsiDynix). This new interface allows us to offer you more resources in one place and provides more accessibility and flexibility in searching. Please read more on the Museum blog.

Collection Donations

If you have objects, images, or documents you believe would complement our collection, please review our collection donation information, which includes our collecting scope as well as the appropriate online form and contact information.

Field Trip Reservations

Due to the popularity of school group visits, reservations must be made in advance and in writing. Please use the field trip reservation form. Your visit is not guaranteed until you have received a confirmation letter from the Museum. Field trips are free for Illinois students, pre-K to grade 12. Out-of-state students are $8 each.
