Virtual Tour | Operations & Oddities: Behind the Scenes at CHM
Wednesday, October 21
What does it take to keep the Chicago History Museum’s lights on and the temperature regulated? Find out on this virtual tour with CHM director of properties Jay Yelen as he leads you into the building’s nooks and crannies. With additions and renovations in 1972, 1988, and 2006, he’ll have plenty to talk about as he discusses the operations and oddities that make up CHM. Crawl under the Robert R. McCormick Theater, see our new and old mechanical equipment, and go up to the roof to discover the fascinating elements that keep our building running. Q&A to follow. RSVP required by Tuesday, October 20, 5:00 p.m.
This free and exclusive event is for CHM members and Historical Alliance only.
Members, please sign into the ticketing system to RSVP. Historical Alliance should contact Lauren Wissbaum, individual giving manager, at [email protected] to RSVP.
