Join Andrew W. Mellon director of collections and curatorial affairs Charles E. Bethea as he discusses a few of his greatest career achievements thus far and his plans for the future of the Museum. Charles will be interviewed by senior vice president John Russick.

Charles E. Bethea made the list for Richmond Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40”, was chosen to participate in the Getty Museum Leadership Institute, and he put the Black History Museum & Cultural Center of Virginia “on the map.” He will also speak to some of his biggest curatorial projects to date including: Maryland Collects: Jacob Lawrence at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture and Freedom, Resistance and the Journey Toward Equality at the DuSable Museum of African American History.
