Join our new director of curatorial affairs Charles E. Bethea as he discusses a few of his greatest achievements including how he made the list for Richmond Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40”, why he was chosen to participate in the Getty Museum Leadership Institute, and how he put the Black History Museum & Cultural Center of Virginia “on the map.” He will also speak to some of his biggest curatorial projects to date including: Maryland Collects: Jacob Lawrence at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture and Freedom, Resistance and the Journey Toward Equality at the DuSable Museum of African American History.
