History Happy Hour

Raise a glass to history!

Tuesday, June 11

Sick of the same old after-work grind? Grab your friends and head on over for History Happy Hour! This series features two drinks on us, and activities highlighting our collection and exhibitions.

Dance your way through the Museum as we celebrate Chicago’s rich blues history. Discover how Chicago has been a “sweet home” for the blues with pop up activations in Amplified: Chicago Blues. Chat with our Research Center staff about rarely-seen collection materials including Chicago Blues photographs, broadsides, magazines and more from the Museum’s archives. Slane Whiskey will be on hand pouring specialty drinks. Live music provided by Chicago Blues All-Stars and Mojo Morganfield & the Mannish Boyz, featuring Muddy Waters’ son. The plaza will be open with live music, weather permitting.

Join us, raise a glass, and learn more about this city you love!
