Hideout Trivia is back!
Produced by the Chicago History Museum, Hideout, and Newberry Library this special event consists of three rounds of trivia fun. The first round is on September 7th, the next two will be held on October 5th and November 2nd, 2022. Each round reflects a particular theme and is followed by a special guest. Participants can play in teams of up to six. Prizes are awarded to the teams finishing third, second, and first.
The September 7th theme is “Working for the Weekend,” and special guests are Eric Bartholomew, creator of the ‘zine Junk Drawer and Miriam Thaggert, curator of the exhibition and author of the book Handmaidens for Travelers, about Pullman Maids. Hideout Trivia ticket sales support the work of My Block My Hood My City.
All rounds in the series are located at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia, with doors at 5:30pm and the event at 6:00pm. There is a sliding scale admission of $10-25 with ticket sales supporting the mutual aid organization selected for that month.
