Haymarket Walking Tour

Sunday, July 30 — Sunday, July 30

On May 4, 1886, Chicago and the country changed forever when a bomb went off in Haymarket Square during a rally for the eight-hour workday. While the bomber remains unknown, eight men were tried for what they said rather than what they did. Join guide Paul Durica as he leads this tour of Haymarket sites, which still have a lot to say about how to preserve free speech and the right to peaceful assembly in times of uncertainty and terror.

Tour runs 1.5–2 hours with a considerable amount of walking.
