At this event, mix, mingle, and view pieces by teens from around Chicago! All work on display comes from a series of design challenges that explored fashion, identity, and history as inspired by the Museum’s world-renowned costume collection. Chicago-area teens and local teaching artists who participated in the three-month FashioNext program will be on hand to discuss their creations. The expo includes the opportunity to visit the exhibition Silver Screen to Mainstream: American Fashion in the 1930s and 40s and hands-on fashion stations. Select work from the expo will then be on display in the museum from Dec. 14th through Jan. 20th. All ages welcome. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
