An Evening of Intrigue
Please join The Guild of the Chicago History Museum at An Evening of Intrigue on Friday, March 31, 2017.
In anticipation of the Museum’s upcoming exhibition Spies, Traitors, and Saboteurs: Fear and Freedom in America, opening on April 8, 2017, this spy-themed fundraising event features Valerie Plame Wilson interviewed by Mary Ann Ahern of NBC Channel 5 News.
A former career covert CIA operations officer, Valerie Plame Wilson worked to protect America’s national security and prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, in particular nuclear weapons. Plame’s bestselling book Fair Game examines the notorious CIA leak case and the resulting conviction of the vice president’s chief of staff, Scooter Libby. She tells not only the real story behind the leak, but describes her life at the CIA and what happened when her cover was blown.
