David Baker is the CEO and CINO of The Barrel Run. A graduate of Purdue University, he is a mechanical and fluid power engineer with a passion for entrepreneurship and vehicles. While in college, he designed, constructed, and raced a lithium ion battery-powered electric go-kart in the inaugural Purdue Electric Vehicle Grand Prix in 2010. At twenty, he built a custom 1931 Studebaker Dictator hot rod that won Best in Class at the Milwaukee World of Wheels. While the industry of the 1920s and 1930s is a strong influence on his creative style, his designs are conceptualized with modern and future technologies. When he is not inventing, he enjoys vintage cars, motorcycles, and the outdoors.
