Members’ Annual Meeting

Wednesday, November 18, 4:00–6:00 p.m.

Burnham's Plan of ChicagoMuseum president Gary Johnson and board president Sharon Gist Gilliam invite you to a light reception and remarks on the Museum’s past year of activities. Immediately following the meeting, Robert Samuel Roche and Aric Lasher give a talk on the release of their new book, Plans of Chicago. Released in the 100th anniversary year of Daniel Burnham and Edward Bennett’s original Plan of Chicago, the book explores the past and future of Chicago’s design from an urban historical perspective.

Members’ Holiday Party

Saturday, December 12, 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

December brings back all of the Museum’s fondest holiday traditions for a party that’s fun for the whole family. At this annual member favorite, enjoy charming holiday music, savory treats, special displays from the Museum’s collection, and crafts for winter sprites of all ages.

Ever wanted to explore the Museum’s archives but didn’t know how? Find your inner historian in a fun program just for members. Whether you’re a student, seasoned researcher, or casual Chicago-phile, you’ll learn a lot from our resident experts who will show you how to navigate the Research Center to find Chicago’s great stories. As a memento of your visit, you’ll receive a print from our renowned photography collection.
