Description: In honor of the 150th anniversary of Louis Sullivan's birth, this Newberry Library Seminar will provide in-depth opportunities to study Sullivan's biography and published writings, analyze his most important buildings in detail, examine his connections to fellow architects, craftsmen, and materials suppliers in Chicago, and assess his ongoing influence and reputation.
Diane Dillon is a scholar-in-residence at the Newberry Library. She holds a Ph.D. in the history of art from Yale University.
