Collection Manager for Costumes and Textiles
Responsible for the processing, inventory, and housing of the Costume and Textile collection to facilitate preservation and access; ensures the Costume and Textile materials are handled, preserved, stored, and exhibited in a safe and prudent manner according to professional and institutional standards; and facilitates internal and external access to and use of the collection.
Corporate Events Manager
The Corporate Events Manager supports the Corporate Events Department in its mission to advance the Museum as a unique American institution. The Manager oversees all aspects of corporate, non-profit and social event sales for the Corporate Events Department and performs event-planning duties as required by other museum departments.
Curatorial Assistant (Temporary Full-Time)
The curatorial assistant will work with the lead curator and project team to support the development of a new costume exhibition and catalog to open at the Museum in November 2014. This position will be responsible for conducting research on themes and collection materials that will support the exhibition’s story and selection of artifacts, general record-keeping, and other assistance as needed.
The position is a temporary, full-time position (through June 2014) with the possibility of extension to December 2014.
The Photographer/Imaging Specialist provides technical, production, quality control, and logistical digital photography and scanning services; visually documents original museum collections as well as CHM activities, programs, exhibitions, and products; helps sustain and enhance CHM’s role as a premier research institution by maintaining excellent customer service and providing imaging services suitable to the needs of a broad group of users; improves access to CHM’s collections and supports CHM’s revenue-generating operations through the adherence to best practices for the creation, management, and delivery of digital images in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.
